My name is Stefnie Cerny, artist.
I am an Atlanta-based Studio/Scenic Artist, specializing in naturalism and portraiture, large scale theatrical painting, small scale commissions, and anything in between.
From the grimy concrete floor of a scene shop to an easel in front of a comfy chair, I bend pigment and line to precisely choreograph chaos into order. Well... when viewed at a distance. My worlds of scenic painting and studio art mesh and communicate to interpret the detailed, colorful wackiness of my viewable surroundings. I use late 19th century technique, mid-century and East Asian imagery, and uncomfortably heightened realism to create personality and story, crazier the longer you look.
